On the 12th of March 2019, at the headquarters of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Levant Culture and Civilization, the President of the Institute, Professor Emil Constantinescu, together with the President of the Federation of Jewish Communities in Romania - Mosaic Cult, Dr Aurel Vainer, signed a collaboration protocol between their two respective institutions.
Jewish artistic and spiritual heritage represents an essential contribution to both Romanian culture and to the culture and civilization of the Levant, cradle of Abrahamic religions, of science, art, culture, and democracy.
The expansion of scientific research on the cultures and civilizations inhabiting this space, and the promotion of dialogue between academia, religious community leaders, and society are both critical goals of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Levant Culture and Civilization.
