Emil Constantinescu, President of the Scientific Council of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Levant Culture and Civilization met with Her Excellency, Hafsa Abdullah Mohammed Al Ulama, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the German Federal Republic. The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy in Berlin.
Her Excellency the Ambassador delivered a presentation of the evolution of the United Arab Emirates for the past 50 years, focusing on educational, cultural, and economic policies, but also on the religious tolerance and inter-faith dialogue present in the area. President Constantinescu presented to her the activity of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Levant Culture and Civilization and offered her as a gift a copy of the Pope John Paul II in Romania. Catholic-Orthodox Dialogue Nine Centuries after the Great Schism album, published in honour of the ecumenic visit performed by Pope Francis in Romania in June 2019. The album was published as a result of the project titled ”The Levant, cradle of Abrahamic religions”.
After the meeting, the reception offered by Her Excellency Hafsa Abdullah Mohammed Al Ulama was also attended by the foreign students enrolled in the MA programmes of the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy. They were thus acquainted with the ISACCL projects and received the invitation to participate in them.
