CALL FOR PAPERS FOR “THE INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF LEVANT STUDIES” [IJLS] 5 (2023)

"The International Journal of Levant Studies" is the most important publication of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Levant Culture and Civilization. It contains research studies and reviews from the Levant area, written by specialists from the country and abroad. The scientific journal is addressed to professors and scientific researchers specialized in: history, philology, archaeology, art history, theology, geopolitics, ethnography, and cultural diplomacy in the Levant area (Mediterranean, Caucasus, Mesopotamia and Northern Africa).

In the first three previous issues, 34 articles and 5 reviews were published by preeminent scholars, covering scientific fields such as: Classics, Egyptology, Coptic, Syriac, Jewish, Byzantine, and Oriental studies, from Antiquity to nowadays.

The aim of the Journal is to promote and renew the scientific research and cultural diplomacy in the Levant area.

            The journal is published on an annual basis, and is edited in English; furthermore, it shall be indexed under the European Reference Index for the Humanities and Social Sciences - ERIH Plus.
