The Opening Ceremony was followed by the lecture and seminar held by Prof. Dr Joanna Popielska-Grzybowska: "Time and Space in Ancient Egyptian Religious Texts", respectively "Time and Space of Creation versus Time and Space of Gods and Humans in the Pyramid Texts". The erudite lecture presented how the ancient Egyptians related to time and space and the various concepts used to designate time in the civil calendar. According to the ancient Egyptian religious texts, time and space had no limits, and the King's life was a permanent continuity. Based on some of the oldest preserved Egyptian sources, the Pyramid Texts, the seminar reconstructed an Egyptian society that was fascinated by life and very pragmatic in its continued concern to ensure its eternity, through mummification and writing: the mere existence of the texts found in the pyramids creates the reality and transcends death, while their reading make them to exist and to live again.
