Between the 15th and 18th of November 2017, prof. dr. Emil Constantinescu, chairman of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Levant Culture and Civilization, together with two of the members of its Scientific Council - prof. dr. Remus Pricopie and prof. dr. Adrian Curaj, took part in the "Second International Conference on Future Education: Effective Learning in an Age of Increasing Speed, Complexity and Uncertainty", held in Rome and jointly organised by the World Academy of Art and Science (WAAS) and the World University Consortium (WUC). With over 100 speakers at the conference, attending on behalf of many universities from across the world, Emil Constantinescu chaired the talks on "Education, Democracy and Peace" and on "Education, Democracy and Human Values". He held a speech on "Higher Education and the New Society of the Third Millenium" at the panel on Critical Issues for the Future of Higher Education, as well as a speech on "The Ethos of Globalization" during the Multiculturalism and Education session.
