| 11.00 – 14.30 | Maritime Station. Round-table on the topic “Constanta Harbour on the Road Silk 2018”, organized by „Compania Națională „Administrația Porturilor Maritime”, in partnership with “Silk Road Association”, and “Constanța Port Business Association”. Emil Constantinescu, the Chairman of the Scientific Board of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Levant Culture and Civilization, the former president of Romania (1996-2000), and one of the promoters of the project concerning the Silk Road’s renaissance, speaks about its history and its cultural dimension. “Dobrogea – bridge between Far East and West”, launched in Constanta, is one of the multiannual projects of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Levant Culture and Civilization. |
| 15.00 – 16.00 | “Mircea cel Bătrân” Naval Academy. The Hall of the Senate. Emil Constantinescu, the Chairman of the Scientific Board of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Levant Culture and Civilization, and the Captain Octavian Tărăbuță, the “Mircea cel Bătrân” Naval Academy Superintendent (Rector), will sign a partnership between these two institutions, concerning some activities for the multiannual project “Dobrogea – Bridge Between the Civilizations of the Western Europe and the Far East”. |
| 17.00 – 18.30 | “Ovidius” University. The Hall of the Senate. The scientific director, Prof. Dr. Dan Grigorescu, presents the multiannual program “Dobrogea – Witness of the Millenial Civilizations of the Levant”. The project is structured on three scientific fields: history and archaelogy; ethnicities and their cultures; natural and cultural heritage. Emil Constantinescu, the Chairman of the Scientific Board of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Levant Culture and Civilization, and Prof. Dr. Sorin Rugină, the Rector of the “Ovidius” University, will sign a partnership between these two institutions, concerning some activities for this project. |
