Emil Constantinescu, President of the Scientific Council of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Levant Culture and Civilization ( ISACCL) and Mark Donfried, General Director of the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy in Berlin, signed a partnership agreement for cooperation in the cultural diplomacy projects of ISACCL: ”The Levant Initiative for Global Peace”, ”Perspectives of Romanian Diplomats”, ”The role of cultural diplomacy in written correspondence. The virtue of peace in formal and informal letters of Levant from Antiquity to the present day”, ”The world post COVID-19 pandemic. A humanist vision for a sustainable development” and ”The European Union between hopes and anxieties”.
The cooperation between the two institutions focuses also on the educational aspect, with an emphasis on providing expertise for the cultural diplomacy Masters’ programmes organized by the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy. Furthermore, as a result of the partnership agreement, research projects of common interest shall be identified and common events are likely to follow, both physically and/or online.
